How happy is the one who does not walk in the advice of the wicked or stand in the pathway with sinners or sit in the company of mockers! Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night. He is like a tree planted by flowing streams that bears its fruit in its season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

The last two and a half years have been the happiest I’ve had in well over a decade.

Yes, you read that correctly. And no, it has nothing to do with the pandemic.

Four years ago, months before we were all talking about COVID, I was a miserable human being. I was a wretch. I hated myself, and I wanted to die. That’s not an exaggeration. Every day I imagined what a relief it would be to go to sleep and never wake up.

Then Jesus saved my life.
